Just like the other Greek city-states, the Arethians were polyntheistic. They beileved that the gods lived on Mt. Olympus in Northern Greece. The most powerful god that they believed in was Zeus. The Arethians believed in several other gods such as Athena, Aphrodite, and Hercules. Just like the other Greek city-states the Arethians honored their gods with temples and festivals. Areth used oracles, preiests or priestesses through whom the gods were thought to speak just like other Greek city-states.
